Fashion Show a Runway Success

Fashion took centre stage, laughter
filled the room, and community spirit was on full display as the Something New
Fashion Show & Luncheon raised an impressive $7,920 in support of the WDMH
Foundation.
Held
September 12th at the Morrisburg Legion, the event brought together
a lively crowd for an afternoon of fashion, music, shopping and fun. Guests
enjoyed a delicious luncheon, browsed the popular WDMH Gift Shoppe pop-up, and
took in a fashion show featuring styles from Biba Morrisburg, Main Street
Clothing Co. and the Gift Shoppe’s own collection. The room was filled with
laughter, conversation and plenty of community spirit.
"It was wonderful to see so many
people come together for a great cause," said Cindy Ault Peters, Executive
Director of the WDMH Foundation. "There was a real sense of joy in the
room, and it was inspiring to see everyone having such a great time while
supporting local health care."
Revenue came from ticket sales,
donations, and Gift Shoppe sales. The event received an additional boost thanks
to the generosity of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch 48,
which donated $1,500 to the WDMH Auxiliary and $1,500 to the WDMH Foundation.
Perhaps the biggest measure of success
wasn't the dollars raised, but the smiles shared throughout the afternoon. From
candid conversations and bursts of laughter to enthusiastic applause during the
fashion show, the event captured exactly what community fundraising is all
about: people coming together, supporting one another, and having a great time
while doing it.
The WDMH Auxiliary and WDMH Foundation
extend sincere thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored,
modelled fashions, donated prizes, and helped make the event such a memorable
success.
Good friends, good fashion, and a good
