EmpowHer Afternoon Tea

Women from
across the community are invited to pour a cup, pull up a chair, and take part
in something meaningful at the EmpowHer Afternoon Tea, happening June 20th
from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Crysler Community Centre.
Designed as a
warm and welcoming gathering, EmpowHer brings women together for an afternoon
of connection, honest conversation, and a little indulgence. Guests will receive
a curated gift bag and enjoy a traditional English‑style tea by Simply Baked
Catering, live music, games, prizes, and the opportunity to shop and support
local women‑owned businesses.
The program
features best‑selling author Kathie Donovan, who will share reflections from
her newest book, You Look Great for Your Age and Other Things We Should
Never Say Again. Her message offers perspective on the language and
expectations that shape how women experience aging.
The afternoon
also includes a dedicated conversation on women’s heart health, offering
practical insights and simple actions women can take to support their well‑being.
Every ticket
sold supports local healthcare through the WDMH Foundation, benefiting
Winchester District Memorial Hospital and Dundas Manor Long‑Term Care Home. By
attending EmpowHer, guests are not only investing in themselves but also giving
back to care close to home.
