Prostate Cancer Support Group Donates $10,000
April 02, 2026
The WDMH
Foundation has received a $10,000 donation from Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa
(PCSO), helping support cancer care for patients and families right here in our
community.
PCSO is a
local volunteer group made up of prostate cancer survivors and their
supporters. The organization works to raise awareness about prostate cancer and
to support men and their families following a diagnosis.
Each
September, PCSO also plays an important role in organizing the annual PSA
Clinic at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. The free clinic offers PSA
testing for men over the age of 40 and is made possible thanks to strong
community partnerships, including WDMH staff, Ottawa Motorcycle Ride for Dad,
the Nation Valley ATV Club, the Black Walnut Prostate Cancer Support Group, and
PCSO.
The 2026
WDMH PSA Clinic is scheduled for Saturday, September 12
“PCS
Ottawa is pleased to support the WDMH Foundation and the annual PSA Clinic, in
appreciation of the care and support provided to patients and families in our
region,” said Al Carl, Chair of Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa.
The WDMH
Foundation extends sincere thanks to Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa and its
volunteers for their generosity and continued commitment to local cancer care.
