The Kin Club
of Russell did it again.
On Thursday
night, the club hosted its annual Catch the Ace Gala, and the impact was
nothing short of incredible. More than $3 million was donated to 25 local
charities, helping organizations continue their important work close to home.
Once again,
the WDMH Foundation was proud to be among the recipients, receiving a generous
$282,717.40 through this year’s event. With this latest gift, total funding
raised for the Foundation through the Kin Club of Russell Catch the Ace has now
reached an impressive $1,130,878.84. Watch this year’s cheque presentation here.
The
Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the Kin Club of Russell, a 100%
volunteer‑led organization, for their ongoing commitment to supporting local
charities and for including the Foundation year after year. Their dedication
continues to make a real difference for communities across the region.
Funds raised
will support the WDMH Healthcare Undesignated Fund, allowing the Foundation to
direct resources where they are needed most at either Winchester District
Memorial Hospital or Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home.
