Heart, Hustle and Hometown Pride

January 23, 2026

The Winchester Hawks Hockey Club proudly hosted its annual Pink in the Rink fundraiser, bringing together players, fans and community members in support of breast cancer awareness.

The event was held on October 3, 2025, at the Sam Ault Arena in Winchester. Fans were encouraged to wear pink to show their support for those living with, or affected by, breast cancer. The arena was filled with heart, hustle and hometown pride.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, a total of $1,515 was raised and donated to the Cancer Care Fund at Winchester District Memorial Hospital, helping to support vital services close to home. A generous contribution was made by Jason Harps, Vice President of Bona Building Management Co. LTD, with additional funds raised through ticket sales.

WDMH’s Cancer Care program provides a range of services, from screening and surgery to the Cancer Coach Program, which supports patients throughout their cancer journey. WDMH is also the largest satellite chemotherapy site of The Ottawa Hospital Regional Cancer Program.

Thank you to the Winchester Hawks Hockey Club for its ongoing contributions to the community.
