Wonderful Wish Tree Totals $52,135

Annie’s tail is wagging a little faster as we announce the grand total of this year’s Judy Lannin Christmas Wish Tree. Together, our donors have raised $52,135.00! The donations will be directed to the Family Care Fund ‘to support families just like yours’ and to help ensure that Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) can continue to provide compassionate, excellent health care – close to home.
This year’s Wish Tree letter was written by Debra McLean (with Annie’s help!). Debra is a volunteer at WDMH and brings her dog Annie with her to provide comfort and support to both patients and staff. Debra and Annie invited donors to give a gift in memory, or in honour, of their loved ones. And so many did!
“I am very grateful so many people were inspired to give to this year’s Wish Tree,” notes Debra. “I have been a patient and a volunteer at the hospital and the kindness and expertise of the WDMH team inspires me to give back too.”
“We know that Santa delivers through sleet and snow, and even postal disruptions – and we are so excited that our donors did too. We knew you would! You are all so wonderful!” adds Interim Executive Director Cindy Ault Peters.
