Look Good Feel Better

When a woman with cancer feels good about herself, she will be empowered to face her illness with greater confidence. That’s the theory behind Look Good Feel Better (LGFB). Since 2005, Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) has been involved with the program. Free workshops are held in Ottawa.

At the heart of Look Good Feel Better is the free, two-hour hands-on workshop. It brings together women with all types of cancer in a safe and supportive environment where they benefit from shared experiences. They learn about skin care, cosmetic hygiene, tips and techniques as well as hair alternatives - from LGFB volunteers with a background in the cosmetic industry. Every woman who attends receives a complimentary gift of skin care and cosmetic products.
